The CMDA Dental Residency [+] Plus program is a 3 year incarnational ministry of CMDA. With a focus on discipleship, community and dental excellence, our desire is to help equip young dentists and their families to live out their call to glorify God among underserved and unreached communities through dentistry.
The [+] program launched July 2014 in Memphis, TN in partnership with Christ Community Health Services. We are currently expanding to Detroit, MI in partnership with Covenant Community Care, as well as increasing participation at the Memphis location. Our desire is to create a pathway that educates, encourages and equips for a lifetime of service through dentistry among underserved and unreached populations both domestically and internationally.
The [+] program is a 3-year commitment:
•Year 1: AEGD accredited dental residency program
•Years 2-3: Staff dentist with 2-year contract, benefits, and potential to qualify for NHSC loan repayment, international rotation experience
•All 3 years: [+] curriculum including: spiritual development, cross-cultural training/living, financial training, project development, coaching, leadership development
